Ffvii where is wutai

Head back to the other part of town, do some shopping, level up if you feel you need to. Since Aeris has a curative limit break, it's best to have her well-leveled, since you'll have a boss battle soon and will need healing as much as possible. You'll also want to buy some attack items from the one shop that will sell you things.

Head up over that bridge, into the mountain area. The first right, then the right after that, takes you to Reno. Go back, then up and around. Head up to Rude, then into that cave he dashed into. Here you can get a Dragoon Lance from a green chest. Head down and to the left, and then your search is over.

Well, almost. You get to talk to the Don, who mentions something about a new pet. You get to play with him shortly; good luck, as you still don't have your materia:. After the battle is over, Don asks you a question. Answer whatever you wish; it's the same outcome either way. At the end, Yuffie puts your materia all back.

But you'll have to re-arrange it, as she's messed up the positioning. She does at least give the MP Absorb materia back, though, and now you can go to the shops. Remember that little shack with all the cats, near Yuffie's house?

Go in there, and now you can up the stairs and get to a chest with an HP Absorb materia. That's it for this sidequest; you go straight onto the Pagoda sidequest, or come back and do it later. Once you've completed the first Wutai sidequest, you may go on with this second one at any time, even right after you finish the first.

Bear in mind, though, that if you're playing for completism, the only way to get the Trine enemy skill on all four of the game's Enemy Skill materia is to save this sidequest until after you have them. The great tower you see standing at the north end of the city is where you'll want to head, but first make sure that you outrig Yuffie with all the best materia and equipment.

Strip your other characters of armor and materia if you have to, just make sure she has all the absolute best stuff on her. You'll thank yourself later on. As a sidenote, if you haven't already, go out fighting around the Wutai beach area where you can encounter the Adamantaimai , a huge tortoise that's not really much of a challenge if your levels are high enough or you've got good magic defense.

The point of interest here is that you can steal Adaman Bangle s from it, which give you an extremely high physical defense rating while trading off some magic defense. You can also learn the Enemy Skill Death Force from it. Travel northeast from the Save Point towards the mountain range Wutai Da-chao Statue in the menu screen. Walk up towards the Turks for some more dialogue. You will encounter random enemy battles while traversing the mountain peaks - you can use this opportunity to charge your Limit Break meters prior to the upcoming boss fight.

Take the pathway leading right when you reach the first fork in the road. Speak to Rude who is standing in front of a cave entrance just up ahead. Enter the cave and open the chest to pick up the Dragoon Lance - a new weapon for Cid. The Leviathan Scales will take out the flames allowing you to find a treasure chest that contains a Steal as Well Materia and a new weapon for Yuffie called the Oritsuru.

This area is the Da-Chao Fire Cavern and you will have to return to this area later on in the game. The boss battle is coming up in the next screen so take some time to engage some random enemy encounters to build up your Limit Breaks and heal up your characters using Hi-Potions before you proceed. Go south into the next screen when you are ready. Note: This upcoming boss battle becomes less and less difficult depending on how far into the game you are when you travel to Wutai.

Rapps is a difficult boss. It is high level, it does a large amount of damage and the battle is made extremely difficult without your Materia which means that the only way to defeat Rapps is through proper preparation before the battle. Do not be afraid to reach into your Item inventory on this fight.

Use X-Potions , Elixirs and Megalixirs as required to keep your party alive. Focus on staying alive and unleashing Limit Breaks which should come up quite often based on the amount of damage Rapps can do.

HP: 6, Reward: Peace Ring. It does not matter which you choose. There are a few more cutscenes mixed with more dialogue. Yuffie will return the Materia to the entire party, however, it just gets placed randomly with each person - you will need to rearrange it when you get the chance. Actions in this section of the game will influence the Gold Saucer Date side quest and obtaining the Best Bromance Trophy.

After Yuffie gives you back all of your Materia in Wutai:. Note that you only get this bonus if Cloud is leading the party. You should take a moment between fights to equip Yuffie with the proper gear and materia. You will also need to restore any hit points, magic points and any status ailment gained from previous battles. Besides your normal setup, the only out-of-the-way ability you may want is the L4 Suicide Enemy Skill.

You can learn it from a Mu, which are the little squirrel-like creatures near the Chocobo Ranch. Gorki represents Power , and acts like the Valron creature around Nibleheim. The only other materia essential to victory is restore. Because Gorki is flying, avoid using Yuffie's Landscaper limit break, as this will be ineffective. Gorki will setup a strong defense with the various Barrier spells, and he will also use Regen when he is on the ropes.

When he bolsters his defense with Barrier, counter with Destruct materia. You may attack him with spells, but stop once he puts up Reflect. Do not Dispel Reflect off of him, it will prevent him from replacing Regen while the Reflect is in effect.

The battle is mainly a slugfest, so keep your health out of the critical area, and use barrier if his attacks are doing too much damage. For winning, you'll get an X-Potion. Shake represents Speed and acts a lot like the strange penguin creature Skeeskee around Cosmo Canyon. This battle is nothing with the Enemy Skill L4 Suicide. Attack Shake with L4 Suicide, then finish him with any attack. Shake is blazing fast, after the L4 Suicide attack, he'll get in at least two blows, which can defeat Yuffie if she is low level.

If this concerns you, use Barrier before attacking with L4 Suicide. If you don't have L4 Suicide, you must take away Shake's advantage. Have Time materia equipped, and use Haste and Slow to turn the tables on him.

This battle is a slugfest as well;, Shake's Rage Bomber attack is strong, and causes Fury which will make subsequent attacks from Shake even deadlier.

If you have Barrier, Time, and Restore, you should be able to out-punch Shake. You'll gain a Turbo Ether for winning. The Jem Ring accessory makes this an easy fight; it will counter her Stare Down attack which paralyzes Yuffie otherwise.

All you will need is Restore materia essentially. Chekhov moves very slowly, so you should be able to get off plenty of attacks on her without worry. Barrier will cut down her Absorb attack which drains your HP and restores hers.

If you forgot to equip your Jem Ring, Barrier is essential. You'll need your regular hard hitting spells to make up for the ring as well. Staniv is the undefeated god of War in the pagoda, and acts like Madouge in the Mythril Caves. Attack with L4 Suicide, and follow up with any other attack for a quick fight. If you don't have L4 Suicide, you'll have to beat him the long way. The chocobos from Wutai Area are either "Poor" or "Average" and thus not worth breeding.

If the party has a green, black or gold chocobo they can reach a Materia Cave with a Mime Materia inside. The Materia Cave is on the world map in the Wutai Area, blocked by mountainous terrain so it cannot be accessed on foot or by Highwind.

The Mime Materia that can be collected inside gives the Mimic command that copies the last ability the party performed. Adamantaimai are fought on the beaches. Adamantaimai has access to the Death Force Enemy Skill, but it will never cast it in battle.

To learn the spell, one must manipulate the Adamantaimai and then force it to cast the spell on the character with the Enemy Skill Materia. Death Force makes one target immune to Instant Death until the end of battle. It is best not to miss it as there are finite opportunities to learn it. In Final Fantasy VII , once the party has accessed the area after recruiting Yuffie, they cannot leave until they finish the side quest and reclaim their Materia. The village has a path leading to Da-chao Mountain.

The Pagoda is the tallest building of the village where the player can partake in another side quest if they have Yuffie in the party, and fight the five gods of Wutai. A reward can be collected in the bar if the player has read all the Turtle's Paradise flyers. Materia Caves are places where natural Materia sometimes coalesce from the Lifestream, making for unique Materia that cannot be purchased from shops.

It serves as Wutai's last stronghold against the Shinra Army. It is located on a mountain. It is a monolithic statue sculpted into the mountain overlooking Wutai Village. The flames can be quelled with Leviathan Scales. The Wutai Area on the world map has various random encounters. Random encounters do not trigger on the bridges. One of the original servers was named Wutai. It was merged with the Gysahl server into the Masamune server.

Wutai is mentioned in a letter sent DJ Mog in a promotional offer in a form of quiz. According to him, Wutai would be the trip prize for the winner who answered the question right. Mail content:. According to the Final Fantasy VII Ultimania Omega [1] , during early plans for Final Fantasy VII , Wutai was much different from how it appears in the final product: Wutai was to be a town built around the temple for the "Wutaia faith", a religion dominated by female hierarchy that worshiped a female deity.

The current hierarch was to be the young Sasame-no-Himemiko, the 89th in line. Due to Sasame being only 15 years old, the real leader would be the high priestess, Izayoi.

Godo would not have been the leader, but rather the head of the Kisaragi family, the servants to the Wutaia leader. Shinra's goal in the town would have been to build a Reactor to harvest the rich Mako below "Ten Faced Mountain", as Da-chao was originally called.

Presumably the Wutai War would not have occurred, but the leaders of the Wutaia faith and the townspeople would have opposed to Shinra's plans of building the Reactor, and in turn, Shinra would have imposed high custom charges on goods entering Wutai, to make the people of Wutai suffer.
